Her birthday was about a month ago but because of school and a lack of sleep, I didn’t get a chance to make her a card.
I made it out of paper, a small postboard, several Sharpie pens and a pair of scissors. I would’ve used my acrylic matte medium (my favorite non-sticky substitute for glue) but I didn’t want to clean my brush after.
Man, I found a whole new love for cropping — in which the main image covers over letters or a secondary image.
I pasted another strip of paper behind her image to hold it up.
Here are some photos of my parents snowshoeing in Canada, including a photo I used as inspiration for the card.
I would’ve drawn her snowshoes as well until I realized I drew her boot too close to the edge of the paper.
